If you have employee(s) who are not paid on a weekly/monthly basis; such as cleaners, social worker and so on, you will then need to set the employee record as 'Intermittently Paid' rather than setting them as leaver and re-adding the employee when they work for the company again.
This setting also enables KashFlow Payroll to indicate HMRC, that the employee has not been paid in period and therefore HMRC will not be expecting PAYE payment for that employee.
Instruction
To set an employee as 'Intermittent', you will need to go to: Employee > Details > Payment Option > select 'Yes' for 'Is employee paid intermittently?' and then click 'Submit' for the changes to be applied

NOTE: when an employee is set on 'Intermittent', you will then not be prompted to create a payslip and you will be able to finalise the period without any issue
